PBA Regional EDGE String Series Heats Up: July Events on the Horizon
The Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) continues to make waves in 2025 with the launch of the QubicaAMF PBA Regional EDGE String Series, a groundbreaking initiative that integrates cutting-edge EDGE String pinspotter technology into professional competition.
Following successful test events and a green light from the USBC in late 2024, the PBA has fully embraced this innovation. The technology proved its merit during the PBA All-Star Weekend at Foxx View Lanes, where stars like EJ Tackett, who also won a test event, showcased their skills on EDGE String Pinspotter lanes.
As a result of the PBA’s findings, each of those champions have been retroactively awarded official PBA Regional Tour titles:
- Walter Ray Williams Jr. — PBA50 Lehigh Lanes Open
- Gabe Alvarez — PBA Jack Jones Memorial Open
- Kyle Troup — PBA Family Ford of Bluffton/Yergy's BBQ/EZ Bowl Central Open
- EJ Tackett — PBA Foxx View Lanes Open
Upcoming Events in July
The excitement continues this month with two major events July 25-27:
- 2025 PBA Lucky Strike Feasterville Open at Lucky Strike Feasterville – Feasterville, PA
- 2025 PBA50 Spare Time Classic Powered by QubicaAMF EDGE String at Spare Time Lanes - Kennewick, WA
These events promise thrilling competition and a chance for fans to witness the future of bowling technology in action. Whether you're a die-hard fan or new to the sport, these tournaments are a must-watch.
Looking Ahead
After July, the series continues with stops in Wisconsin, Utah, Indiana, Iowa, and Oklahoma through November. Each event is a testament to the PBA’s commitment to innovation and excellence in the sport.
