38th Bowling Center Architecture & Design Awards by BCM
This year's BCM Design Awards were split in two parts, International and United States Division, so if you missed the first part you can check che International Division Here.
Strike 10 Bowling - Boca Raton, Fla.: BEST NEW FEC/HYBRID/BOUTIQUE
If one didn’t know they were entering a bowling-based entertainment center, Strike 10 Bowling provides fun reminders via its front-door handles, restroom signs and multi-lane “masking.” There’s plenty of comfortable seating whether one is bowling, eating, drinking or simply spectating, and the Scottish Amber Hickory Rigid Vinyl Plank flooring in a herringbone pattern adds to the ambience. The attractions bowling and billiards — suggest a target market of primarily adults, and the design work underscores that thought with its splashes of lighting-provided color, unique fixtures and textured ceiling treatment. And just in case you can’t make out the restroom signs, the men’s room sign reads, “Men to the left because,” while the women’s sign completes the thought: “Women are always right.”

Eastside Bowl - Madison, Tenn.: BEST INTERIOR
Not every vision for an entertainment venue requires embracing just one type of design. Sometimes, a mash-up of modern and retro can be awe-inspiring. May we introduce you to Eastside Bowl, where vintage AMF masking units meet modern couch seating, fanciful floor patterns, and fun shapes that line the walls and hover overhead.

Kingpinz Social - Fargo, N.D.: BEST RESTAURANT
Baron’s Eatery & Bar at Kingpinz Social was designed to be a high-quality restaurant, and it delivers both in terms of its menu and its design. The full-service venue features culinary delights ranging from crispy calamari to walleye tacos to raspberry donut cheesecake — all of which can be consumed in a space that defines “class” with its mix of booth and table seating.
