The World’s First IBF Sanctioned Tournament on String Machines to Feature EDGE String Pinspotters

This will be the world’s first International Bowling Federation (IBF) sanctioned tournament on string machines and will feature EDGE Sting Pinspotters, the latest in string pinspotter technology.

The World Games take center stage July 7 – 17, 2022, in the Birmingham–Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC) with bowling taking place July 8 – 11.  

The World Games is an 11-day sports celebration held in the year following the Summer Olympic Games. The Games represents the highest level of competition for more than 3,600 international athletes and 30+ unique sports.

As the exclusive IBF global bowling equipment supplier and partner, QubicaAMF will install 8 full lanes of its latest EDGE String technology in the BJCC for this event.

For the first time in the history of the sport, string bowling technology will be featured in one of the most important bowling competitions in the world.

This is recognition of the value of the latest innovations in string technology and of its ability to withstand sport bowling at the highest levels.

In addition, the dependency of bowling centers being within the vicinity of multi-sport hosts is now removed as EDGE String can adapt easily to elite temporary infrastructure demands, such as the BJCC.

This flexibility will allow IBF to continue to ensure bowling is included in the most important multi-sport games to elevate bowling on the international stage for sports.

Beyond the ease of installation, EDGE String technology allows bowling to be more sustainable both environmentally and economically.
